Finance Manager (Treasury Section-Student Team) (23240963)

The Appointee is expected to report to the Senior Finance Manager and work closely with the Project team for planning and smooth implementation of the Student Finance in the Student Life Cycle Management System (SLCMS).

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a small team to support the development and implementation of the Student Finance (including but not limited to issuance and collection of tuition and hall fees, scholarship and bursary payment, students’ loan disbursement/repayment & etc.) in SLCMS;
Serve as a key liaison person between the Finance Office, system contractor, user departments and the Office of Information Technology. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to assess and validate the requirements to develop fit-for purpose processes, system integration and migration and cater information and reporting needs;
Work closely with the relevant stakeholders on the user specifications, design development, user training and to ensure effective completion of user acceptance tests;
Provide regular project status updates and follow-up on action items to ensure timely resolution and achievement of project goals. Monitor outsourcing contractors’ performances to ensure quality, timeliness and fulfilment of users’ requirements;
Provide training and support to end-users to ensure a smooth transition to the new SLCMS; and
Perform ongoing routine student finance tasks and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

A qualified accountant with a bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, business, finance or equivalent;
Extensive experience in process implementation of financial system with a minimum of seven years of relevant supervisory experience gained from sizeable organisations;
Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and PC application skills especially in Excel;
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
Good leadership, mature and self-motivated team player.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a computer application and written test.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
