Assistant Finance Officer (Treasury Section-Student Team) (23240971)

The Appointee is expected to report to the Senior Finance Officer and work closely with the Project team to ensure the smooth implementation of the Student Finance in the Student Life Cycle Management System (SLCMS).

Responsibilities:

Support the development and implementation of the Student Finance (including but not limited to issuance and collection of tuition and hall fees, scholarship and bursary payment, students’ loan disbursement/repayment & etc.) in SLCMS;
Work closely with the contractor, user departments and the Office of Information Technology to develop fit-for purpose processes, system integration and migration and cater information and reporting needs;
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support supervisors in working with stakeholders to perform and complete effective user acceptance tests;
Provide value-added comments and following up on action items to ensure timely resolution and achievement of project goals; and
Perform ongoing routine student finance tasks and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

A recognised diploma or above and preferably in accounting, business, finance or equivalent;
Good experience in process implementation of financial system gained from sizeable organisations will be an advantage;
Good analytical skills, problem solving skills and PC application skills especially in Excel;
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
A good team player, mature and self-motivated.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a computer application and written test.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
