We are looking for a Financial Analyst (6-month contract) to form part of the Finance Team at Specsavers. This role is responsible for providing analysis of business insight to enable effective operational and strategic decision making. Working with stakeholders across our Global Supply Chain, support, challenge, and facilitate critical business thinking. Take part in development of robust business cases.  In addition to the analysis and insight this role is highly technical that can mine large data sets, supporting the development, maintenance and control of the data warehouse, providing tools for different stakeholders to self-serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Prepare key financial management reports used across the business to measure and improve performance.
  • Responsible for KPI reporting, identifying trends and patterns and raising them with the relevant leadership to ensure issues are pro-actively dealt with and opportunities for improvement implemented.
  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Ensure the forecast and annual budget processes are carried out effectively.
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures.
  • Provide support to Senior Financial Analyst in business partnering activities & collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and understand business drivers.

Collaboration and Communication 

  • Liaise with various departments to gather financial information and insights.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to other teams within the organization.

Operational Data

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the data warehouse, ensuring data is clean, accessible and relevant.
  • Assist in development of business intelligence tools.
     

Key Skills, Ability or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluent and highly proficient in English and Cantonese (verbal and written), able to communicate in Mandarin.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a similar role.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Energetic team player with excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
