Our client, a leading investment bank, is actively seeking a data center project manager to join their team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of data center projects, ensuring they align with their strategic objectives and meet regulatory requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, optimize resources, and ensure the successful implementation of data center initiatives.

The role:

• Lead end-to-end project management for data center initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Utilize project management methodologies to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, security, compliance, and operations teams, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Manage resources effectively, ensuring the right people are assigned to the right tasks. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as necessary.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes. Present project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

What you offer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; PMP or similar certification preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within data centers or IT infrastructure, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of data center operations, including hardware, software, networking, and security protocols.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
