Community Engagement Coordinator

DotAsia Organisation (https://www.asia) operates the “.Asia” top-level domain (TLD) as part of the core global Internet infrastructure.  DotAsia maintains a global market presence through our extensive worldwide channel partner network (https://www.dot.asia/asia-registry/becoming-a-asia-accredited-registrar/#dotasiaAccreditedRegistrars), and operates as a not-for-profit organization (DotAsia Foundation: IRD 91/12820).

Every .Asia domain registration contributes to funds and support for international community initiatives that create social impact in and beyond Asia Pacific, and has been recognized by the global Internet community (e.g. https://NetMission.Asia, https://APrIGF.Asia, https://EcoInternet.Asia, etc.).  Since 2022, DotAsia also supports the development of the global .KiDS domain.

 DotAsia is a dedicated team working collaboratively internally and with our partners.  At DotAsia, we value diversity, entrepreneurial spirit and an enjoyable working environment that cherishes each person’s unique contribution.  We are seeking an enthusiastic team-player as a Community Engagement Coordinator, to help expand our community projects and to support Board and organizational coordination work.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Collaborate with international partners to support Internet development
  • Travel to different places to support project implementation, presentations at relevant events, as well as to support Board and Member meetings

Job Description:

  • Coordinate outreach, research and communication efforts (as well as prepare reports where appropriate) for different initiatives and among various stakeholder groups
  • Provide secretariat function to support a diverse multicultural group of volunteers from multiple time zones in the development and implementation of community and organizational processes and policies
  • Schedule and coordinate committee meetings, logistics and prepare meeting reminders, action items summary and minutes, and manage travel itineraries of the DotAsia Board and coordination for and with other team members
  • Provide general administrative support to functional and project teams as well as any other ad-hoc assignments directed by management

Requirements:

  • Degree holder, fresh graduates welcome, experience valued
  • Proficiency in basic computer and Internet software (doc/xls/ppt/etc.)
  • Project management and coordination skills
  • Detail-minded, high integrity and accuracy with diplomatic sense
  • Highly proficient in written & spoken English (additional language a plus)
  • Self-motivated, independent, flexible and a doer attitude
  • Social movement, campaign and/or student association experience valuable
