Task Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Cargolux (CV) Compliance Program at the Asia/Pacific Regional level. The position holder will report to the Head of Compliance Support.
  • Work with all business units involved in CV operations in the Asia/Pacific region, acting as trusted advisor in all matters related to Legal & Regulatory Compliance as well as providing assistance, direction and management of all compliance related queries.
  • Communicate frequently & openly to all business units involved in CV Asia/Pacific operations, keeping them updated on regulatory changes, company policies and any other aspect related to Compliance in the topics of Anti-bribery and Corruption, Competition Law, Export Controls, Fraud, Anti-money Laundering & Tax Evasion.
  • Wherever necessary, and in consultation with the Head of Compliance Support, act as point of contact with authorities referring to regulatory incidents in the relevant geographic area.
  • Develop, in the frame of the overall Compliance department training strategy, and deliver an effective compliance training program.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the rest of the Company to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Participate in the Compliance related Risk Management program, contributing actively in the assessment, mitigation and monitoring activities in the Asia/Pacific region.
  • Perform Compliance related station audits.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of all related Compliance procedures, as well as the periodical enhancement of the Cargolux Compliance Program.
  • Implement Compliance audits when requested by the Head of Compliance Support.
  • Provide reports on a regular basis keeping the SR Manager Compliance, Chief Compliance Officer & Senior Management informed of progress of Compliance related affairs in the Area.
  • Frequent travelling in the Area and to CV HQ, located in Luxembourg (EU).

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position or a position with similar responsibilities.
  • Hold a higher education degree, preferably in the Legal or International Affairs field.
  • High degree of verbal & written English is mandatory - additional languages (specially Mandarin & Cantonese) are considered an advantage.
  • Be ethics-oriented and possess a strong moral compass.
  • Be trustworthy, honest and integer.
  • Strong reporting and organizational skills, including maintenance and updating documentation databases.
  • Possess excellent communication & social skills.
  • Experience in training is considered an advantage.
  • People and team oriented with the capacity to work independently as well.
  • Ability to multi-task between several open projects; good time management skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full time & permanent contract.
  • Position based in Hong Kong
