Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Kindergarten, the Head Teacher is to deliver inspirational and effective leadership and management for the whole group of schools. With a broad remit of: setting strategic direction in conjunction with the Board of Directors; setting high standards of teaching and learning; effectively managing people; maintaining facilities, budgets and resources and providing exceptional communication and accountability, this senior role is pivotal to the success and future of DM Group.

Basic Requirements

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or Post-graduate Diploma/Certificate in Education.
• Possess a Teacher Registration Certificate issued by the HK Education Bureau and Child Care Worker/Child Care Supervisor qualification issued by Social Welfare Department.
• Completed the Certificate course for Kindergarten Principals recognized by the HK Education Bureau.
• At least 1 year of administrative-level leadership experience in ECE.
• Proficient in English and Chinese.
• Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
• Able to provide induction and ongoing CPD by way of mentoring, leading presentations and team meetings.
• Have the knowledge and skills to create effective Individualized Education Programs for students with diverse learning needs.
• Highly effective team leader, able to motivate and manage a team to deliver the school development plan effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Have genuine care about staff and students, taking time to support and guide them.
• Flexible and capable of managing change.
