Details of the Division and Team:

Sales Trader will be working closely with the broader Equity Distribution franchise including Generalist Sales team in HK and Singapore, international sales team and equity execution teams in EMEA and US and the Company Research Analyst team in HK. Equity Distribution is part of the Origination & Advisory (O&A) division of Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank working closely with the wider franchise. This cross Asia role, with a focus on HK/China, will be responsible for winning and managing the execution of order flow from our Asian institutional client base. This role is critical to expand the existing business and set-up the capability in Asia. Sales Trader will be working closely with the broader Equity Distribution franchise including Generalist Sales team in HK and Singapore, international sales team and equity execution teams in EMEA and US and the Company Research Analyst team in HK. The individual will be assisting asset managers in deciding which stocks to invest in, by providing market and individual stock ideas in support of their investment process. You will also identify new client relationships for the Equity Distribution Group and look to enhance relationships with existing clients.

Your key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily execution of high touch trades from hedge funds and mutual funds, as well as executing principal trades for the bank in regards to risk management and hedging of inventory positions associated with Capital Markets activity
• Provide timely market and stock specific insights to client equity trading desks and their Portfolio Managers
• Knowledge of regional market structure and trading experience a necessity
• Responsible for building client trading relationships
• Participate in the Primary Issuance process – IPO’s and Accelerated Book Builds
• In addition to trading, assist in settlement and KYC activities, as well as aiding in the internal p&l and MRM functions
• Support the integration of a new trading platform which includes partnering with technology colleagues, gather specifications and dependencies, and testing functionality

Your skills and experience:

• 10+ years of APAC equity market experience on a High Touch dealing desk, with an existing client base across Asia
• Ability to work with equity execution teams in US and EMEA
• Ability to work well with other Sales personnel and Research Analyst teams
• Strong relationship building skills with a proven track record of client acquisition
• Ability to create and execute comprehensive business plans
• Highly effective communicator and presentation skills
