Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant

Location: Hong Kong

Role Introduction:

The SAP FICO Consultant will be responsible for managing and supporting finance-related business needs, including finance budgeting, accounting, cost controlling, and finance consolidation. The role involves analyzing business requirements, providing efficient solutions, and optimizing SAP systems to align with client needs. The consultant will collaborate across teams, plan and coordinate SAP system enhancements, and drive change throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including the PVT team, project managers, business analysts, and the existing support team to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business impacts and make data-driven decisions to optimize financial processes.
• Participate in discussions around data requirements and visualizations to drive continuous improvement.

Solution Design & Implementation:

• Oversee the design, review, and implementation of SAP solutions across various finance-related functions such as budgeting, accounting, and cost controlling.
• Work on SAP system configurations and enhancements based on business needs, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.
• Analyze enterprise business context and trends to create high-level designs and conceptual solutions for project delivery.

System Analysis & Optimization:

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of SAP systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization, ensuring systems are aligned with business requirements.
• Provide consultancy on performance optimization for new and existing solutions, particularly in high-pressure situations (e.g., production fire-fighting).
• Drive integration efforts between SAP FICO and other modules, ensuring seamless operations and interactions with external systems.

Leadership & Communication:

• Lead and coordinate teams throughout the software development lifecycle, working with in-house and external resources.
• Collaborate with the Technology & Architecture team to drive business and technological innovations aligned with corporate strategies.
• Communicate effectively at all levels, including to executives, ensuring clarity of solution design and implementation impacts.

Emerging Technologies & Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies, proactively identifying relevant trends and tools for potential introduction to the project.
• Provide recommendations for system enhancements or new solutions based on evolving business needs and technology advancements.

Requirements:

Language Skills:

• Cantonese speaker is a must.

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years experience in the SAP domain, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP implementation or support projects.
• Proven experience in large-scale strategic programs or projects, specifically in SAP FICO solutions.

Technical & Functional Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance solutions, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP FICO, and integrations with other SAP modules and non-SAP systems.
• Familiarity with SAP Treasury Management and Cash Management is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of finance business processes such as month-end, year-end, and intercompany reconciliation.

Educational Qualifications:

• A University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.

Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to think conceptually and simplify complex problems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with object-oriented analysis, application development methodologies, and client/server systems.
• Strong background in financial models and budgeting processes.
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions and deliver results.
