A leading corporate bank is hiring a regulatory reporting manager for their accounting and finance team.

My client is one of the leading financial institutions in the world, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory Reporting Manager to join their Hong Kong Branch. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of them while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the regulatory reporting function for the Hong Kong Branch, ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required reports to the relevant regulatory bodies.
2. Stay updated with the latest regulatory requirements and changes in reporting standards, and ensure the Branch's reporting procedures align with these guidelines.
3. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including finance, risk, and compliance teams, to gather necessary data and information for regulatory reporting purposes.
4. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory authorities, responding to any queries or requests for additional information in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Analyse complex financial data and ensure its accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
6. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory reporting function.
7. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes, policies, and procedures.
8. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in regulatory reporting within the banking industry, preferably within Hong Kong's regulatory environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory reporting requirements, including but not limited to HKMA reporting guidelines.
4. Strong understanding of financial products, accounting principles, and financial risk management.
5. Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify potential issues or discrepancies.
7. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work.
8. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
9. Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is required.
