Description

Data is core to Preqin’s industry offerings, and the data management team delivers accurate, timely and complete data enhancing the value of our award-winning offerings. The trust in our underlying content enables our clients to make key investment decisions.

The data management team is responsible for acquisition and collection of key public and private data that fuels Preqin’s online databases and products. Besides collecting content, the data management team collaborates extensively with our internal and external clients to improvise our offerings leveraging technology and subject matter expertise.

The team understands the life cycle of data and establishes business intelligence reports seeking operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be part of Preqin’s data management team and take on a role primarily managing vendors, creating operational excellence, ensure deliverables and also to develop and implement improved strategic sourcing policies across regions.

Full training relevant to the role will be provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

Data Management and Research:

  • Conduct in-depth web-based research to collect data relating to firm, fund, and transaction activity in the alternative asset universe
  • Perform quality assurance for existing data and output from offshore teams
  • Work on complex data projects related to data quality, process re-engineering and workflow optimization
  • Develop subject matter expertise to enhance our data offering to clients
  • Work with stakeholders across various business units to further develop our data product offering

Training And Operation

  • Identify and evaluate key data sources and sourcing procedures
  • Create scope of work & standardize framework for offshore teams
  • Assess the performance of vendors and ensure vendor compliance with company standards

Vendor Coordination

  • Design and build metrics and mechanisms to ensure delivery of quality work from offshore teams
  • Drive improvements in productivity, quality and cost through data-driven decisions
  • Identify areas of improvement on data vendor across APAC, create and further operational excellence for vendors

What You’ll Bring To Us

  • At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience within finance/alternative assets, consultancy, or data management
  • Business-level fluency in English and Korean with excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of business intelligence systems and experience in analytical modelling and project management is preferred
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in vendor coordination/project management/data analysis is preferred
  • Experience in working across cultures and locations is preferred
