Founded in late 2019 by former Macquarie Bank colleagues, the firm commenced operations in early 2021 and currently has a team of ~30. The firm is headquartered in Hong Kong and also has presence in Sydney, Australia.


ActusRayPartners has a collaboration agreement with Sun Hung Kai & Co. Limited, a Hong Kong listed financial services company (86.HK). The firm’s underlying clients include a regional government reserve fund, global financial institutions, pension (ERISA) funds, private banks, and family offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.


ActusRayPartners’ investment process Discretionary Probabilistic Investing combines a quantitative base with a highly differentiated discretionary overlay. Currently, the firm offers absolute return “hedge fund” products investing in listed equity markets across Asia and Europe. Plans include developing other products and investing globally.


In 2021, ActusRayPartners was nominated as 1 of 50 “Tomorrow’s Titans” by the hedge fund journal. The firm’s European strategy has been nominated for performance awards in every complete year since inception (winning in 2023 and 2024) and the Asian strategy won a performance award in its first full year, 2024.

Job Description:


With continued business growth, ActusRayPartners is seeking a Business Officer to join their Investment Services team to assist with our business development and managing clients. This role provides growth opportunities through engagement with global stakeholders including allocators and service providers of the highest calibre.

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent the firm professionally in all correspondence with stakeholders, including existing and prospective investors, business partners, and service providers.
  • Manage the subscription and redemption process for the firm’s commingled funds, which involves working closely with investors, the fund administrator, internal teams, and fund directors.
  • Maintain the firm’s Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) system to support sales and client servicing, including data entry, extraction, and analysis.
  • Assist with the production and distribution of marketing materials such as investment newsletters and factsheets.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and support marketing meetings, including conducting background research, preparing presentation materials, and taking meeting notes.
  • Assist with the organisation of roadshows and marketing trips to ensure efficient logistics and successful investor engagement.
  • Update and maintain fund profiles on prime brokers’ and/or other performance portals on a timely basis.
  • Assist with ad-hoc investor requests and queries, including but not limited to due diligence questionnaires and bespoke materials.
  • Support and assist with all marketing efforts as directed by the CEO and Business Manager.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; finance or business-related degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant or adjacent experience.
  • Proficiency and extensive experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Native level fluency in spoken and written English.This is absolutely essential.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is beneficial.
