Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Operations Associate located in Hong Kong SAR at Dream Peak Capital. We are a boutique global equity long-short hedge fund. Candidates must possess valid work authorization for Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily trade operations including but not limited to trade settlements, corporate actions processing, collateral management, position and cash reconciliations etc.;
• Extract data from PMS to prepare daily management reports covering risk, exposures, margins, liquidity, commission, stock borrowing cost etc.;
• Perform ad-hoc analysis on portfolio and expenses;
• Work closely with external counterparties and service providers (including but not limited to Prime Brokers, Fund administrator, ISDA counterparties, execution brokers) to help build and maintain strong partnerships;
• Assist in preparing and finalizing the financial statements as well as working with the auditors on the annual fund audit;
• Work closely with COO to prepare compliance filings and other compliance matters; 

Qualifications

• University degree is required with a preference in operations research, economics, accounting, finance or related majors;
• Familiarity with listed equities, equity swaps, listed equity options etc.;
• 2-5 years of relevant hedge fund / fund accounting / fund admin/ audit experience;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Basic SQL skill is required. Python and VBA skills are advantages;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities;
• Fluent in English, Mandarin or Cantonese.
