Job Summary:

Market Systems Application team is responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of HKEX’s market systems, including trading, market data. It is a specialized team that have in-depth technology knowhow to support the on-going maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements and the development of next generation HKEX platforms.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support implementation of various development and enhancement projects. 
• Support systems analysis and development activities based on the business and technical requirements. 
• Preparation of system documentation such as functional specification, technical specification and user manuals, etc. 
• Ensure the provision of effective and efficient application support to production systems and discuss resolutions on production problems. 
• Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines. 
• At least 5 years’ experience in system development. 
• Working knowledge on the following platforms: RedHat Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle/DB2 database.  
• Working knowledge on the following languages: Java, JavaScript, React, C/C++, Linux shell scripting, and Python.
• Experience on Cloud computing/AWS and Windows .NET would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of securities and/or derivatives industry. 
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Experience in developing large scale mission critical systems an added advantage.
