AI Safety Asia, together with Cooperative AI Foundation, will be running a 10 week online course focusing on multi-agent cooperation from Early March - May 2025 targeting university students in Asia. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of computer science, machine learning and game theory, though it is not a prerequisite. This course is free of charge and a certificate will be awarded for the completion of the course.
Cooperative AI is an emerging research field focused on improving the cooperative intelligence of advanced AI for the benefit of all. This includes both addressing risks of advanced AI related to multi-agent interactions and realising the potential of advanced AI to enhance human cooperation.
There will be a 2-hour weekly tutorial with around 2 hours of pre-reading weekly.
The application deadline is on 21st Feb EoD HKT, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Familiar with either ML research/ AI governance/ AI safety and game theory
Have facilitation/ teaching experience
Required
Fluent in English
Ability to guide a diverse group of students (can be non-technical) through complex topics
Time commitment
The course is 10 weeks online starting in early March. The time slot will likely be late afternoon HKT/ morning UKT/ morning of EST.
The course includes 2-hour weekly tutorial led by you and it will also include 2-hour preparation time for you to familiar yourself the course material and 1 hour for following up on participants' questions.
Compensation
800 USD flat fee for facilitating one group of participants (~10 participants per group)
