Major Duties And Responsibilities
The appointee will assist in the research project “Fable of the Bees in Our Time: An Inquiry to Recover Assets and Values of Waste Pickers in Hong Kong” (Project No.: R6574).
The Appointee Will Be Responsible Mainly For The Following
- Conducting literature search and review;
- Conducting field liaison, fieldworks and interviews;
- Performing data entry and analysis; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates Should Possess The Following Qualifications, Experience And Competence
- A recognised degree in social sciences or related discipline;
- Knowledge in conducting research in social sciences (experience in community walk, participant observations and engagement with older adults will be an advantage);
- Competent in qualitative data analysis;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) with good communication skills; and
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, and able to meet deadlines and work independently.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. He/She will work no more than 17 hours per week for the period between March 2025 and December 2025. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
