Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic  Assistant Restaurant Manager  to join our close-knit team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the restaurant's daily operations run smoothly, supporting both the front-of-house team and management. You will serve as a role model, mentor, and motivator to the team, fostering a positive work environment and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about hospitality and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence : Oversee daily operations, including lunch, brunch, and dinner services, ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH).
  • Team Leadership : Support, train, and motivate team members, fostering a positive and professional work environment. Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Guest Experience : Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, handle complaints or special requests with professionalism, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Administrative Duties : Monitoring inventory levels, placing orders, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Sales & Marketing Support : Collaborate with management to implement strategies to increase covers, promote specials, and drive customer loyalty.
  • Problem-Solving : Quickly address and resolve any operational challenges during service, ensuring minimal disruption to the guest experience.


Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 2-3 years in a supervisory or assistant management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a bistro or fine dining setting.
  • Passion for Hospitality : A genuine love for food, wine, and service, with a strong commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Leadership Skills : Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a small, dynamic team with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Organizational Skills : Strong multitasking ability, attention to detail, and capability to manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility : Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Language Skills : Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French or Cantonese is an advantage.
