About the Client

Our client is a well-established and sizable multi-national corporation with stable business performance. They are now seeking for a dynamic individual to join them as the Payroll Manager. About the role

  • Oversee the day-to-day payroll operations including processing, payments, and deductions.
  • Lead the transition of payroll functions from one system to another, ensuring a smooth transition within a specified timeframe.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with local laws and regulations, reconcile payroll records, and prepare necessary reports.
  • Address employee queries related to salary, contracts, benefits contributions, and taxation.
  • Review financial records such as salary journals and contribution reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Train, supervise, and assign tasks to payroll staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Lead and monitor pre-parallel runs, parallel runs, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and reconciliation activities during system transitions.
  • Collaborate with the Data Integrity Team to maintain high standards of data accuracy and compliance across payroll operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder with major in Business Administration, Human Resources or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in payroll management
  • Experience with payroll software systems and ideally, experience in system migration projects
  • Strong knowledge of local payroll legislation, benefit contributions, and tax requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Effective communication skills to handle internal and external inquiries efficiently
  • Have a proficient command of Chinese, spoken and written English
