Responsibilities

• Business analysis of current and new projects, including requirements gathering, ensuring that features are logically sound and technically correct, detailed specifications, and project planning.
• Development of various Python components.
• The management of Backlog, clearly creating and articulating JIRA tickets and acceptance criteria, prioritizing and ordering them to align with business objectives, maintaining visibility and clarity of the backlog for all stakeholders.
• Developer support, ensuring that developers have a clearing understanding of the JIRA tickets at the necessary level.
• Assist in conducting scrum meetings and support the development workflow.
• Lead the design efforts and assist in prototyping new solutions.
• Oversee logical data structures and message formats for new requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Ensure delivered items meet the requirements of the product criteria.

Academics and experience:

• A minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, with Strong experience in Agile / Jira.
• Development experience with Python that extends beyond just reports, big data, and data analytics.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree, ideally in either computer science or engineering.

Key Skills:

• Strong IT culture, specifically in technology and design.
• Ability to design data structures / message formats.
• Experience with Python is a must.
• Familiar with data mining (SQL).
• Excellent understanding of Software Developing Life Cycle using Agile testing framework.
• Great English written and speaking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Good to Have:

• Solid understanding of financial markets, particularly in derivatives products and transaction flows.
• Previous experience of Banking or Financial markets.
