Responsibilities:

  • Support and meet the financial targets of the company and sustainable longer-term growth
  • Develop innovation/renovation pipeline for Zone in ensuring impactful deliverables to the business, brand and future fit
  • Develop, lead and coach the team to meet objectives focusing on timely product cycle management, product innovation, user experience customer service and continuous improvement of product cost in both existing and potential product categories
  • Ensure all products meet our brand promise and customer expectations, appropriate regulatory guidelines as well as internal policies
  • Working closely with Global team (Marketing and Insight Team) in establishing Global longer-term consumer trend/needs and able to translate technology into product benefit to consumers/customers
  • Explore appropriate ingredients and packaging usage for sensorial and cost improvements while validate its compliance on product quality and safety
  • Manage production trials at pilot plant and ensure effective and efficient production preparation (e.g. specifications, processing instructions) during commercial run
  • Oversee that all documents used within the operational system are accurate and properly maintained
  • Constantly review the related R&D strategy to support the continuous growth of the zones
  • Take up ad hoc projects as assigned by the Company


Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Processing, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry or related discipline, Master degree is preferred
  • 15 years of progressive technical management experience in a FMCG operation; 10 years in a managerial position of product development with both B2B and B2C experience is an advantage
  • Past experience in broad type of projects that requires different technical exposure and interfacing is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of raw material, food packaging, food safety system to assure the compliance of product to specifications and regulations
  • Strong leadership and soft skill in dealing with all levels
  • Strong planning, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership ability to establish and maintain an effective management function associated the company’s strategic initiatives
  • Ability to lead a team of diverse background and maximize each staff’s strengths
  • Excellent communication both in English and Chinese
  • Willing to travel
