We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:

Major Duties And Responsibilities

The appointee(s) will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Assisting in course planning and development as well as participating in School / University activities;
  • Assisting the Student Advising Coordinators to provide academic advising;
  • Addressing the academic and cultural needs of non-local students;
  • Conducting regular meeting with students;
  • Providing tutorial, laboratory, and field-based teaching support during the specified working hours (weekday nights and weekends); and
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Science and Technology or their nominee(s).

Candidates

Candidates Should Possess The Following Qualifications, Experience And Competence

  • Holder of Master degree, preferably a doctoral degree in Education, Counselling, Science and Technology, or any relevant discipline;
  • Relevant experience in student advising, preferably with Mainland students;
  • Preferably with good understanding and experience in the academic and cultural needs of Mainland students;
  • Strong sense of responsibility, effective organization and interpersonal skills; and
  • A good command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate(s) will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
