Reporting to the Head of Operations (Scientific Branch), the incumbent will assume the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting multi-level implementation research to address key issues in service delivery within the Hong Kong Genome Project (HKGP)
- Support data collection and cleaning, statistical data analysis, conduct literature search and review, prepare project proposals and presentation materials, and draft reports and manuscripts, particularly focusing on health outcomes, psychosocial outcomes, and health economics analyses
- Collaborate with Scientific Officers, Research Officers, and other staff at HKGI
- Collaborate with research members of Partnering Centres and service providers for data acquisition
- Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
Requirements
We are seeking a high-calibre candidate for the post of Senior Research Assistant (Research) who possesses:
- A master’s degree or above in Public Health, Health Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Psychology, Social Science, or related disciplines in medical or health sciences
- At least 5 years of relevant research experience, ideally in health outcomes, psychosocial outcomes, and health economics studies
- Experience in both quantitative and qualitative research
- Knowledge of using SPSS
- Research experience in genomic medicine would be an advantage
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis of large and complex datasets with strong skills in statistical software (e.g. STATA, R)
- Experience in drafting reports and manuscripts in health and social care science
- Experience in drafting grant applications would be an advantage
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
- Strong analytical ability, problem-solving and communication skills
- Attention to detail, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Remuneration
Successful candidate will be offered attractive remuneration and be appointed on an initial two-year contract (subject to mutual agreement for contract renewal).
