M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.
Reporting to the Head, Museum Business , M+, the Museum Business and Project Assistant Manager is key role in supporting different tasks and operations from the Museum Business Team including research and business analysis. This position will require to manage and communicate to relevant stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
You Will Be Responsible For
- managing museum research, from research design, arrangement of interviewing resources, research results analysis to reporting and communication of research findings;
- the development and maintenance of museum-wide Key Performance Indicators, dashboard aggregating, of qualitative analytics from research or other feedback channels.
- producing clear project plans to implement strategic priorities and researches, support the effective execution; monitor milestones and provide reports for senior management;
- managing approved projects, developing and monitoring project programme, timeline and budget; and managing external consultants and projects through to completion
- developing internal communications plans to implement outcomes of strategic projects to relevant stakeholders;
- scoping potential consultancy needs for projects when necessary; and
- supporting other ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor as required.
You Should
- possess a recognised university degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Project Management, Arts Administration or related disciplines;
- have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years in project management and research role with developing and executing project plans. Experience in a museum or other cultural organization is an advantage;
- have experience in managing multiple, high-level, organization-wide projects that require aligning of various departments’ strategies and priorities.
- Have experience managing internal, multi-stakeholder projects requiring research and analysis; designing and development of project and operational plans then execution and monitoring of projects;
- Be a team player with good collaboration, communication and influencing skills;
- be a creative self-motivator who aims to drive things forward both in strategy and execution;
- be proficiency in both written and spoken English and Putonghua; and
- have good computer literacy in using MS Office and MS Project. Advanced knowledge in use of Excel or other statistical applications in analysis will be an advantage.
