As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database solutions, creating strategic roadmaps, and making critical decisions regarding open-source technologies. Your expertise will ensure the scalability, performance, and security of our database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize MySQL and MSSQL database systems to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and implement database roadmaps in alignment with business goals and IT strategies.
• Make decisions regarding the use of open-source database solutions and ensure integration with existing systems.
• Perform database performance tuning, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Design and implement database architectures that support high-volume transactional systems.
• Monitor database health, resolve issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless database integration with applications.
• Evaluate new database technologies and provide recommendations for future improvements.
• Ensure database security by implementing best practices and policies for access control and data protection.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in Database Administration (DBA) with a focus on MySQL and MSSQL .
• Ability to create and manage database roadmaps and strategic plans.
• Knowledge of open-source database technologies and the ability to make informed decisions regarding their adoption.
• Experience with database performance tuning , optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of database architecture , scalability, and high availability solutions.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes .
• Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL scripting and automation for database management tasks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with business needs.
