Development Engineer (Highly Decorated Collectible Toys)

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Development Engineer at Melting Pot Solutions, focusing on highly decorated collectible toys. The position is based in Yau Tsim Mong District, with most of the work conducted in the Dongguan area. The role emphasizes quality assurance and creativity in maintaining the quality and aesthetic integrity of customer-provided designs. The Development Engineer will ensure the seamless transition of designs into high-quality, manufacturable products, collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to uphold the visual and structural standards of collectible toys.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure the final product meets customer expectations for design and quality.
• Analyze customer-provided designs and ensure manufacturability while preserving their artistic and aesthetic value.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address any challenges related to production quality and design fidelity.
• Conduct research on materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance the durability and appearance of collectible toys.
• Solve technical challenges related to production and maintain consistency in product quality.

Qualifications

• Expertise in quality assurance (QA) processes, particularly in maintaining intricate designs and aesthetics.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct research to solve production-related challenges.
• Proficiency in mechanical engineering and understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Experience in product development, focusing on transitioning designs into manufacturable products.
• Knowledge of product design principles, with a focus on preserving intricate details in collectible toys.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to address design and production issues.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes in the toy industry, especially for highly detailed, articutlated and decorated products.
