Responsibilities

• Have an overall understanding and oversight of our main sub-contractor CKS in all technical and operational aspects for Cotai Water Jet (CWJ)
• Drive continuous improvement in rotable spares inventory and consumables control and cost reduction by prolonging lives and/or finding cheaper alternatives that meet our high standards
• Evaluate and provide technical guidance for cabin upgrades/vessel modifications, operational equipment and introduction or sale of new/ second hand and existing ferries within the CWJ fleet
• Ensure our contractors and suppliers are actively engaged in driving down costs while improving repair turn times, efficiency, reliability, standards and are competitive within the market place
• Have a full understanding of CWJ Emergency and Accident Procedures
• Monitor berthing, passenger boarding and on board operational procedures
• Evaluate and process R & M invoices
• Observe, evaluate and report on operational and safety trends
• Monitor and advise on overall ferry operations
• Monitor and audit vessel maintenance
• Monitor and advise on fuel suppliers and re-fuelling procedures
• Review scheduling vessel rotations in respect of maintenance schedules and advise on utilization continuous improvement

Requirements

• Diploma or above in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in Engineering with at least 4 years of experience in supervisory level
• Prior working experience in high-speed ferry operations and knowledge in MTU 4000 series engine would be an advantage
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and preferably Mandarin)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
