Job Duties:
To assist in handling content updates and website users' enquiry for CCPO website, including website content drafting, editing, proofreading, updating, etc.
To assist in formulating publicity plan and drafting Chinese history- and culture-related social media feed on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Xiaohongshu, etc.
To provide assistance in the preparation and delivery of education and outreach programmes to promote Chinese history and culture:-
to conduct research on various themes;
to prepare education materials and assist in venue setting, and monitor and assist the running of the programmes;
to liaise with collaborators and guest speakers, and help with the enrolment and attendance matters;
to make necessary arrangement for special events, such as opening ceremonies, field visits, drama performance, ceremonies.
To assist in the proofreading and production of Office publications.
To maintain proper documentary record, such as Office's programmes conducted.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Requirements:
Possessing a good bachelor's degree, majoring in History or related discipline (e.g. Archaeology, Anthropology, Museum Studies, Cultural Studies, China Studies, Geography etc.), or equivalent. Degree offered by diploma mills, top-up degree and distance education degree are not accepted;
Obtaining Level 4/Grade C or. above in Chinese Language or English Language in the Hong Kong Dip ma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
Possessing good communication skills; showing strong initiative; being able to work within a team and work independently; being presentable and polite;
At least 2 years working experience in museums, education, heritage, history or digital-marketing related areas;
Having good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage;
Good knowledge in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
