The Role: Analyst Programmer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Analyst Programmer to join us in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and have comprehensive experience in coding, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting. A strong emphasis on implementing security controls and maintaining the integrity and security of systems throughout the development process is also required.

Role & Responsibilities

• Participate in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC):
  Engage in all SDLC phases: planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance for IT/digital projects such as web-based systems and applications, website or mobile applications. 
• Front-End/ Back-End Development:
  Conduct both front-end/ back-end coding and development tasks to create digital solutions/ IT projects.
• API Integration:
  Integrate various APIs to enhance the functionality and interoperability of digital solutions/ IT projects
• Collaboration with Team Members:
  Work closely with project managers to align development timelines and deliverables; Cooperate with UX/UI designers to ensure the final product adheres to both functional and aesthetic standards.
• Quality Assurance:
  Implement testing protocols to ensure that the software meets quality standards and is free of bugs before deployment.
• Client-Centric Development:
  Ensure that all solutions are tailored to meet client requirements and exceed their expectations in terms of functionality and user experience.
• Adhere to Best Practices:
  Comply with coding standards and guidelines recommended by Digital Policy Office (DPO) of HKSAR Government and University IT Departments, ensuring high levels of security, data privacy, web accessibility (WCAG) and other areas.
   

Tech Stack Expertise

Our projects vary widely and, depending on the specific requirements, you might work with a range of technologies. While we value versatility, we understand that candidates may specialize in particular areas of our tech stack, which includes:

• Java, Spring Boot, JSP:  for creating robust, enterprise-level back-end systems 
  
  OR
  
   
• PHP, Laravel, WordPress, WooCommerce:  for developing custom websites and e-commerce solutions 
  
  OR
  
   
• React Native, Node.js:  for building scalable server-side applications and cross-platform mobile applications.
  
  We understand that it is rare for a candidate to be an expert in all these areas. Therefore, we encourage applicants who specialize in either one or more of these technologies to apply.

Requirements

• Relevant Education/ Certificate : Higher Diploma / Degree Holder or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related disciplines 
• Relevant Work Experience: 5 to 10 years in IT projects including coding and system development for web application, mobile application or websites
• Technical Proficiency  (Either one or more than one):
  (a) Java/ Spring Boot/ JSP    OR
  (b) PHP/ Laravel    OR
  (c) React Native/ Node.js 
• Database Management:  Solid experience in data modelling with MySQL database
• Personal Traits:  Fast learner,   Self-motivated, Responsible; Polite and Effective Communication; Good at time management
• Language Skills:  Proficient in Cantonese speaking and English reading/ writing
• Optional: 
  Experience in Git or other version control tool is a plus; 
  Experience in Linux and Cloud service is a plus;
  Experience with Government/ Public Sector/ University IT projects is a plus
