Job Duties:

Counseling:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of students' university applications, delivering personalized counseling and guidance from initial inquiry to acceptance and enrollment.
  • Provide professional advice to students and parents on boarding school programs, aligning recommendations with their educational aspirations.
  • Mentor students to assist them in realizing their academic and personal objectives, cultivating a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Maintain transparent timelines and manage expectations for students and parents, ensuring a seamless application process.
  • Offer detailed feedback on application essays, providing constructive criticism to enhance the quality of students' submissions.
  • Conduct comprehensive profile analyses and collaborate with students to develop compelling portfolios that showcase their strengths and achievements.
  • Utilize sales experience to engage effectively with parents and students, emphasizing the value of our services and securing their commitment.
  • Conduct research and compile data on US admissions trends and best practices, remaining informed of industry developments and opportunities.


Sales and Marketing:

  • Participate in team marketing events such as workshops, webinars, and talks to promote our services.
  • Plan and prepare marketing materials, including blog posts, social media content, presentations, and other collateral.


Job Requirements:

  • Background in a US boarding school or university environment, demonstrating a robust understanding of the admissions process preferred.
  • Familiarity with the US overseas education system, particularly in the context of boarding school applications.
  • US education experience (high school, university or higher ed-in a related field such as counseling, psychology or education).
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in education.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin), enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong customer service orientation, adept at building rapport with students, parents and US boarding school admission directors.
  • Creative mindset, capable of collaborating with students to identify interests and activities that enhance their profiles.
  • Confident and self-motivated individual with a clear understanding of Mainland consumer preferences and expectations.
  • Proficiency in WeChat and other social media platforms commonly used by Chinese nationals for educational purposes.
  • Willingness to work some evenings (HK Time) and communicate with parents via WeChat as required.
  • Availability to work five days a week, including Saturdays, as part of the counseling team.
