We specialize in providing comprehensive background screening solutions, empowering our clients to make well-informed hiring decisions.  As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Accounting Assistant. 

 

Position Overview:

As a Part-Time Accounting Assistant, you will play an essential role in our accounting and finance team by handling and verifying invoices, assisting with financial record-keeping, and supporting various financial processes.  This position is ideal for someone with a few years of accounting experience who is looking to expand their responsibilities and work closely with a professional finance team.   

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Invoice Management: 

Review, verify, and process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Reconciliation: 

Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts, and resolve any discrepancies.

Data Entry: 

Accurately enter invoice and financial data into the accounting system, ensuring correct coding and timely processing.

Payment Processing: 

Assist in preparing and processing payments for approved invoices and maintain accurate records of transactions.

Client Invoicing: 

Assist with the preparation and issuance of invoices to clients, ensuring all billable items are properly accounted for.

Account Reconciliation: 

Assist with monthly account reconciliations and the month-end closing process.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes during team meetings.
  • Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls related to the accounting department.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and documents as needed.

Collaboration: 

Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations and timely reporting.  

 

Qualifications: 

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Excel) and comfortable with technology. 
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.   

 

Working Hours:

The role may require occasional availability outside of standard working hours to accommodate global time zones.
