Our client, a prominent financial institution in Hong Kong, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join the team. The selected candidate will be integral to database design, development, and management.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the design, development, and management of databases
• Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, ensuring system health, performance, availability, and security
• Independently analysing, solving, and correcting issues in real-time and providing end-to-end problem resolution
• Offering preventive system monitoring and maintenance support for database and related IT systems
• Providing technical support to ensure all developments and changes align with market best practices and governance
• Planning and migrating databases to a central database on a corporate private cloud platform
• Delivering technical updates on database technologies to support various IT systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in managing enterprise databases, preferably with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Prior experience in database migration projects is highly preferred
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline and DevOps implementation with GitLab, Ansible, and Jenkins is advantageous
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
