Our client is an asset management firm that focuses on quantitative strategies focused on global equities. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an Execution Trader and the position is based in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities:

• Work closely with portfolio managers, IT team, external brokers to execute trades (mainly equities) in a timely, accurate manner
• Monitor the trading activities and system to ensure they are run in a smooth manner and aligned with the firm’s trading direction
• Execute high-touch trades for portfolio managers when necessary
• Research and understand different markets’ trading regulations to ensure the trades are aligned with regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with operations and IT team in in preparing trading-related and valuation reports
• Maintain and develop relationship with external brokers
• Other tasks related to execution trading

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Economics/ Computer Science / Business Management
• Around 2 to 5 years of Execution Trader experience in equities
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, programming language such as Python is preferred
• Analytical, good with numbers, meticulous
• Responsible, team-work, flexible to work in a small office environment
• Good communication skills, fluent in Mandarin and English
