The School of Architecture at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a world-class, research-led and professionally connected learning environment. We are now seeking an outstanding Computer Technician to join the School’s technical team.

Responsibilities:

· Facilitate computer enhancement, including new PC setup, software installation and configuration;

· Assist in the regular maintenance of devices, including IT equipment management and application updates;

· Contribute to the website updates and assist in other IT projects; and

· Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

· Higher diploma in computer science or related discipline;

· Experience in hardware and software installation, and frontline user support;

· Good knowledge of operating systems, common applications, and CMS operations like WordPress; and

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong sense of responsibility, positive attitude and team spirit

· Shift duty will be required if needed

Appointment will be made on a 6-month contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. Advantage will be given to those who have a Bachelor’s degree, working experience and/or knowledge of architectural/design software applications.
