Key Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the Accounting and Finance function of approximately 12 offices across HK, Macau, PRC and South Korea (“the Region”)
- Provide accurate and timely financial information and reports to management to facilitate decision making process
- Prepare budget and cash flow projection of the Region and follow up significant variances with actual results
- Manage and supervise payroll process of approximately 1,200 staff across the Region
- Review and monitor company secretaries’ documents or filings for the Region and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements
- Report on financial issues of existing investments (of the Region and overseas) to the management
- Liaise with banks to arrange funding and bank facilities
- Liaise with external auditors for annual audits of the Region
- Liaise with tax advisors for tax filings and reporting of the Region
- Arrange insurance policies with insurance brokers (Medical, Life, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Employees’ Compensation Insurance etc.) for the Region
- Liaise with other RLB global offices on accounting and finance issues.
- Lead and work with supportive departments and directors in charge to revamp the company’s reporting system
- Lead and train the staff in the Finance department
Job Specific Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years accounting and finance experience with management exposure in medium to large size corporation or company, preferably with experience supervising cross border operations in Hong Kong, Macau and PRC
- Hold related degree and recognized accounting professional qualification
- Knowledge in HK, PRC and Macau taxation and commercial rules and regulations
- Experience in handling project accounting and reporting is an advantage
- System enhancement or implementation experience is an advantage
- Experience with large audit firms is preferable but not essential
- Good command of spoken and written business English and Mandarin is required
- Strong communication skill and leadership to deal with a wide diversity of financial and non-financial professionals
- Self-motivated and proactive
