Key Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the Accounting function of approximately 12 offices across HK, Macau, PRC and South Korea (“the Region”)
- Address day-to-day accounting issues of the Region
- Handle monthly closing of the Region
- Review payments of the Region
- Prepare and review budget and cash flow projection of the Region and follow up significant variances with actual results
- Review company secretaries’ documents or filings for the Region and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements
- Liaise with external auditors for annual audits of the Region
- Liaise with tax advisors for tax filings and reporting of the Region
- Support on administrative tasks such as arrangement of office insurances, fixed assets disposal, etc. for the Region
- Support enhancement and implementation of the company’s reporting system
- Provide training to staff in accounting team
Job Specific Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years accounting and finance experience with supervising exposure, preferably with experience supervising cross border operations in Hong Kong, Macau and PRC
- Hold related degree or recognized accounting professional qualification
- Knowledge in HK, PRC and Macau taxation and commercial rules and regulations is highly desirable
- Experience in handling project accounting and reporting is an advantage
- System enhancement or implementation experience is an advantage
- Audit experience is preferable but not essential
- Good command of spoken and written business English and Mandarin is required
- Strong communication skill and leadership to deal with a wide diversity of financial and non-financial professionals
- Self-motivated and proactive
