The Role:

With the new Procurement strategy in place, L'Occitane is on an exciting journey to accelerate growth and value creation. The APAC Procurement Manager is responsible for deploying the procurement strategy for Direct and Indirect categories across the Region. S/ he will lead the regional execution of the sourcing and supplier management strategy to maximize the received value from suppliers to make sure the company meets its growth, profitability & sustainability objectives.


Responsible for a procurement spend of approximately € +50 million across the regional affiliates (Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Thailand, and Australia). The scope is highly scattered between countries and categories, requiring a meticulous approach and strong stakeholder management skills.


This role will be part of the Group Procurement Leadership Team, where s/he will be actively taking part in strategic initiatives such as value creation through supplier partnerships and sustainability agenda. S/ he will be instrumental in motivating the stakeholders and suppliers and inspiring individuals to take part in this transformation.



What you will do:

  • Design & execute the APAC procurement 3 years vision / strategy in line with business needs and stakeholders
  • Drive APAC procurement performance & suppliers efficiency beyond cost (innovation, CSR, time to market,...)
  • Manage and build strong relationships / partnerships with key internal stakeholders (business reviews) & strategic suppliers
  • Assess Supplier service level and Continuous improvement plan for suppliers in charge
  • Get involved or provide advice for key strategic negotiations
  • Ensure the alignment & recognition by finance of indirect procurement savings
  • Provide regular reporting of procurement KPI’s
  • Lead the APAC procurement team in close interaction with the Global Direct & Indirect procurement Directors
  • Provide key information about market / commodity evolution, new technology, … risks and opportunities
  • Extend service to newly acquired brands (if launch in APAC)
  • Procurement CSR focus as L’Occitane is BCorp certified:
  • CSR suppliers’ performance is a critical element to be considered when selecting a supplier (Ensure Suppliers comply with Code of Business Conduct…)
  • Being able to monitor and report Suppliers CSR performance using the Company reporting tools
  • Suppliers’ CSR risk management
  • Carbon footprint reduction projects management




What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or in business administration or related field. Ideally with a Post Graduate degree in procurement
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement
  • The successful candidate has accrued knowledge in a best-in-class FMCG or cosmetics organization and has had significant global exposure to Indirect (IT, operations, marketing, …)
  • Experience in strategy implementation in a matrix organization
  • Proven track record in contributing to a new organization set up in a complex and matrix organization
  • Strategic vision & Excellence in Ececution
  • Good at using extensively Excel and Database management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
