Supervise a maintenance team to implement improvement works of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, Automated Fare Collection (AFC) and telecommunication electronic equipment to deliver reliable workshop services
Carry out asset replacement studies, asset life assurance studies and holistic review of various systems in Central Electronic Workshop
Implement refurbishment / replacement of exhausted electronic equipment under asset life assurance projects
Review, identify areas of improvements and make improvement proposals on the process of asset management activities such as asset condition assessments and asset life assurance studies
Provide technical support on the maintenance activities of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, AFC and telecommunication electronic equipment
Work closely with partners from depots and various maintenance departments to ensure the performance of the electronic system and propose improvements in the maintenance regime
Be a key member of the investigation team for fault investigation and identification of the root cause and propose remedial actions
Oversee contractors and term labour working in Central Electronic Workshop
Requirements
Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Computer Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
Self motivaited with good analytical and interpersonal skills
Remarks
Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
Required to perform shift duties on irregular patterns of hours
Required to work offshore to support the Corporation’s growth business as needed
