Responsibilities

• Supervise a maintenance team to implement improvement works of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, Automated Fare Collection (AFC) and telecommunication electronic equipment to deliver reliable workshop services
• Carry out asset replacement studies, asset life assurance studies and holistic review of various systems in Central Electronic Workshop
• Implement refurbishment / replacement of exhausted electronic equipment under asset life assurance projects
• Review, identify areas of improvements and make improvement proposals on the process of asset management activities such as asset condition assessments and asset life assurance studies
• Provide technical support on the maintenance activities of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, AFC and telecommunication electronic equipment
• Work closely with partners from depots and various maintenance departments to ensure the performance of the electronic system and propose improvements in the maintenance regime
• Be a key member of the investigation team for fault investigation and identification of the root cause and propose remedial actions
• Oversee contractors and term labour working in Central Electronic Workshop
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Computer Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
• Self motivaited with good analytical and interpersonal skills
  
  

Remarks

• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
• Required to perform shift duties on irregular patterns of hours
• Required to work offshore to support the Corporation’s growth business as needed
