Responsibilities

  • Create 'consistent' positive returns for clients/investors of >8-12% net p.a (not super high but volatile returns)
  • Implement a strong risk management 'low risk-low vol' strategy (except PE/VC)
  • Manage and grow client base of Asian/global institutions, listed companies, UHNWI, non-profit etc
  • Communicate to client ideas and market updates with strong conviction i.e ESG, AI
  • Keep update and research on new market ideas or work with the research team
  • Able to help manage client portfolio in bull and bear markets (run net long or net short portfolios)
  • Flexible and adapt fast to suit evolving market/economic conditions
  • Adapt and learn fast in US, European and Asian markets (at times US time zone may be needed)
  • Use excellent risk management skills to limit losses and preserve capital
  • Execute a mid-long term strategic growth plan to outperform the market i.e seek alpha returns
  • Maintain strong teamwork with the firm's culture of innovation, transparency and dedication (Core Values: HIP-AIR)
  • Look at P&L and forecast financial metrics as performance matters to clients
  • Understand basic international compliance rules & regulations
  • Assist in other aspects of the business if required


Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma with business/economics/marketing/finance/liberal arts (preferred)
  • Background as PM, traders/brokers, private bankers/RM/wealth managers, IR managers, family office strategist, economists, Quants etc (those with raw trading skills can be refined with our in-house program)
  • SFC type 9 license RO or representative or equivalent (preferred) with the right mindset to perform
  • Proprietary trading or strong investment experience of min 3 years (those with no track record will start as IR/RM manager)
  • Multi-asset and multi-strategy (discretionary or quantitative)/hedging experience preferred
  • Successful fundraising experience a plus with humble, curious and charismatic personality
  • Proven skills in acquiring new clients to add on to existing ones
  • Strong communication and networking skillsets that transcends nationalities
  • "Creative DOers" & independent thinkers - 'Art & Science' practitioners
  • A genuine passion to succeed in alternative investment management
  • Highly passionate & optimistic to be succeed but also humble enough to rectify errors early & learn
  • Ability to speak Chinese essential (and other foreign languages)
