We are seeking multiple headcounts for a Data Engineer / Senior for our hedge fund client in Hong Kong office. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and scale our data infrastructure from the ground up.

The ideal Data Engineer must have a strong passion for data architecture and will be hands on in development of robust data systems to support operational and investment decisions.

• Based in Hong Kong (Holding HK PR / working visa / Dependent visa / Top talent visa / IANG visa)

MUST :

• Experience in building data pipeline / data system from scratch
• Python and AWS (PLUS)
• Strong domain knowledge = Market risk

Candidates must have experience / understanding in

• ClickHouse
• Security master
• Financial Data System
• Data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
• Machine learning pipelines and advanced analytics.
• Bloomberg API or other financial market data sources.

Role :

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines for a multi-manager trading strategy from scratch.
• Manage structured and unstructured data systems from various sources.
• Implement data quality measures, monitoring systems, and anomaly detection for ongoing improvement.
• Lead data projects and contribute to the strategic development of data engineering capabilities.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing techniques
• Programming proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow
