We are seeking an experienced Trade Surveillance professional to join our team. In this role, you will oversee real-time trade monitoring, investigate potential misconduct, and ensure compliance with market conduct regulations. You will collaborate closely with senior management to present investigative findings and lead initiatives to strengthen the surveillance framework within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Real-time Trade Monitoring: Utilize SMARTS to track and analyze trading activities to identify any unusual behavior, prohibited practices, or misconduct.
  • Investigative Analysis: Investigate suspected violations such as insider trading, market manipulation, and other forms of misconduct, presenting findings and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to MAS SFA, SGX trading rules, and market conduct regulations, actively monitoring trading practices for compliance.
  • Advisory Support: Provide expert advice on business, technology, and regulatory challenges affecting trading activities.
  • Surveillance Enhancement: Lead efforts to continuously improve and enhance the trade surveillance framework, implementing best practices and new strategies.
  • System and Procedure Oversight: Ensure robust systems and procedures are in place for the efficient and effective execution of surveillance operations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Compliance or Market Surveillance
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with SMARTS trade surveillance software.
  • In-depth understanding of HKMA, SFA, and SGX trading rules and market conduct regulations.
  • Profound understanding of trading systems, financial market regulations, and compliance processes.
