With a strong presence in the USA, UK, and India, we are now looking to expand our footprint in Asia by hiring a dynamic and result-driven Sales Manager to lead plastic trading activities in the region.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager – Plastics to drive sales growth, client acquisition, and business expansion in Asia. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in plastics trading, a strong industry network, and a deep understanding of plastic materials such as LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP, PET, PVC, ABS, and others. 

This role requires a proactive sales leader who can identify opportunities, develop strategic relationships, and execute successful deals while ensuring smooth coordination with our procurement, logistics, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Sales and Business Development

-Identify new potential buyers, traders, recyclers, and manufacturers for plastic materials.

-Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate new markets in India, China, Southeast Asia, and other Asian countries.

- Expand the company’s footprint in plastic scrap, recycled, and prime-grade polymers.

-Explore B2B and bulk trading opportunities with large-scale processors and industries.

- Attend industry exhibitions and trade shows (e.g., PlastIndia, Chinaplas) to build relationships and grow the business.

-Develop regional distribution channels and strategic alliances to increase sales volume.


2.Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management

- Act as the key point of contact for major clients and distributors across Asia.

- Develop and maintain strong long-term partnerships with customers.

- Provide tailored material solutions based on client needs and industry requirements.

- Handle customer queries, contract negotiations, and conflict resolution.

- Ensure on-time delivery and smooth transaction execution to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

 

3.Pricing,Negotiation and Contract Management

- Analyze global plastic market trends and competitor pricing to set competitive price points.

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and INCOTERMS to maximize profitability.

- Work closely with the finance team to manage credit risk and payment collections.

- Draft and review sales agreements, contracts, and NDAs with buyers.

- Ensure all contracts comply with international trade regulations and company policies.


4.Supply Chain and Logistics Coordination

- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure a steady supply of materials.

- Monitor order fulfillment, shipping schedules, and container movements.

- Work with the logistics team to optimize freight costs and delivery times.

- Resolve shipping and customs-related challenges to ensure seamless delivery.

- Track inventory levels and ensure timely dispatch of orders.

 

5.Market Intelligence and Strategy Development

- Conduct thorough market research on plastic raw materials and demand-supply fluctuations.

- Keep up to date with government policies, import/export regulations, and industry developments.

- Identify emerging trends in plastic recycling and circular economy initiatives.

- Generate monthly sales forecasts and market intelligence reports for management.


6.Team Collaboration and Reporting

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (procurement, finance, logistics, operations) to ensure smooth execution of sales deals.

- Provide weekly and monthly sales reports detailing revenue, client pipeline, and key market updates.

- Lead and mentor junior sales executives or regional sales representatives.

- Set and track regional sales targets to align with company growth objectives.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or International Trade.

- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in plastic trading, recycling, or polymer sales.

- Industry Knowledge: In-depth expertise in plastic scrap, regrinds, reprocessed, and virgin polymers (LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP, PET, PVC, ABS, etc.).

- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of successfully closing high-value deals.

- Networking Skills: Established relationships with plastic recyclers, converters, and manufacturers in Asia.

- Market Awareness: Strong understanding of supply & demand trends in the plastics industry.

- Negotiation & Communication: Excellent business development, sales negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

- Trade & Logistics: Familiarity with INCOTERMS, export documentation, and international shipping.
