Sandalwood Advisors is one of the first, and also the biggest Alternative Data Research Platform in Asia. We are well known by the Global Hedge Fund community for producing the highest quality research, and big data analytics.

Money managers are rushing to incorporate big data analytics into their traditional investment research, the funds who don't uses big data analytics are losing an edge to players who knows how to use alternative data. As a result of this dynamics, this industry is experiencing very rapid growth.

We are looking for an ambitious, and entrepreneurial sales person to join our team, and capitalize on this very fast paced growth.



Job Description


Our clients are top global hedge funds. Your task is to service existing client well, and also identify new opportunities;


1. Account management: take care of client’s interest, and make sure the clients are engaged and fully utilizing all of Sandalwood's services, so that you can ensure renewal and enable upsell; day to day work includes and not limited to brief clients with latest key messages and actionable ideas, set-up client meetings, call scheduling, client follow-ups, CRM update.

2. New Prospecting: identify new hedge funds, and win them over as clients; Quota ranges from US$200k-US$2mln depending on your experience, and track record.

3. Working closely with your colleagues: actively collect client feedback, identify hot topics and closely communicate with research team to generate new ideas or to improve products; communicating actively with your manager to make sure everything is on track, think of new ways to drive the growth.


Requirements


Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with institutional investors or have experience working inside a hedge fund. We look for between 1-5 years, those with more experience are welcome to apply, and we can offer a more senior role.


Character & Skills:

  • Highest level of integrity, and honesty.
  • Self starter, can work in a very entrepreneurial environment.
  • Curious mindset, you want to learn everyday.
  • Have an understanding of sales psychology.
  • Client first mindset, and very detail orientated.
  • Must be fluent in English. Mandarin is a plus but not necessary.
  • We operate in an idea meritocracy where the best ideas always win, so we value open mindedness, and the ability to adapt and change quickly based on new information.
