We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Technical Representative (TR) to join our dynamic team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our insurance brokerage operations by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, handling technical aspects of insurance policies, and providing exceptional service to clients and stakeholders. This role requires strong knowledge of Hong Kong’s insurance regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all insurance transactions and documentation comply with the Hong Kong Insurance Authority (IA) regulations.
Stay updated on changes in insurance laws and guidelines to ensure company practices remain compliant.
Policy Administration:
Assist in the preparation, issuance, and renewal of insurance policies.
Review policy terms and conditions to ensure accuracy and alignment with client needs.
Client Support:
Provide technical support to clients regarding policy details, coverage, and claims processes.
Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Brokerage Support:
Collaborate with insurance brokers to facilitate smooth policy placements and renewals.
Prepare and submit underwriting documents to insurers on behalf of clients.
Claims Assistance:
Assist clients in filing and tracking insurance claims.
Liaise with insurers to ensure efficient claims processing and resolution.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of policies, client interactions, and transactions.
Generate reports on policy performance, compliance, and other key metrics as required.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including sales, underwriting, and compliance, to deliver seamless service to clients.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a brokerage or technical role.
Licensing: Possession of a valid Technical Representative (TR) license issued by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority (IA).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance products, regulations, and market practices in Hong Kong.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in English and Cantonese (written and spoken); Mandarin is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management software.
