About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to join our dynamic Sleepwear & Accessories team at Hi-Style Manufacturing Company . This full-time position is based in Sheung Wan, where you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our product range from production at factories in China to delivery to clients globally.

What you'll be doing

• Developing & executing merchandising strategies to maximise sales & profitability
• Manage entire product development, sourcing & delivery process from start to finish
• Communicate daily with clients & vendors to ensure all stakeholders are aware of customers requirements
• Prepare costings for review, cross cost with different vendors & prepare offers to clients
• Once orders are confirmed, prepare & check approval, fit, pre production & shipment samples & accessories as per clients manual, & requirements.
• Co-ordinate with nominated suppliers & vendors to order any required accessories
• Co-ordinate with internal team members & other external vendors on shipping, testing & related matters
• Actively contribute & participate in business development initiatives to drive new business & opportunities, this includes finding new vendors for production & material sourcing
• Must be able to travel to China for factory visits, sourcing, trade shows, & other overseas destinations to meet clients & attend trade shows 

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Merchandiser in apparel export merchandising to UK, EU & North American brands, & retailers preferred
• Knowledge of the sleepwear, casual, sports wear & accessory category - see our web site www.hi-style.com
• Familiar with both knit & woven fabrics, including cotton, polyester & blends, especially light & heavy weight (fleece) polyester knits preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data & draw actionable insights
• Able to independently read customers manuals, summarise & translate to vendors accurately
• Exceptional attention to detail, organised, able to set & meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
• Good communication & negotiation skills to interact with clients, factory & internal team members 
• Proficiency in MS Office & willingness to learn
