Applications are invited for appointment as System Developer, to commence as soon as possible. 

The appointee will join the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (D24H), a start-up company incorporated by The University of Hong Kong (HKU) that is led by senior faculty members of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine at HKU, and work in a highly motivated inter-disciplinary team to develop mobile applications, cloud computing solutions or other AI-enabled computational solutions for our multiple healthcare related projects in the R&D team. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with System Manager in the  requirement of studying, analysing, designing and documentation;
• Support for system implementation and testing;
• Write and execute unit tests to ensure codebase stability and performance; and
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
   

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines;
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development;
• Good knowledge in AWS/Azure cloud platform is preferred;
• Hands-on experience in Docker and Kubernetes setup and operations;
• Solid understanding in event-driven development and API (Restful or GraphQL) implementation;
• Proficient in using version control systems like Git;
• Knowledge on networking will be an advantage;
• Experience in Git CI/CD operations; and
• Familiar with performing penetration test, stress test, load test, etc.
