Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join and support the engineering of cloud security solutions for a global investment bank. The role requires a solid understanding of Information Security concepts and hands-on experience with various information security tools, including Cloud Security, Identity Access Management, incident management, and application security. Proficiency in Java and JavaScript is preferred.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Cloud and IAM tools.
• Collaborate with business partners to design, engineer, and deliver new strategic secure cloud and IAM solutions.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud technologies (MS Azure / M365, AWS, AliCloud) and security best practices for cloud platforms.
• Conduct Cloud Security reviews, risk assessments, and audits of infrastructure, systems, and applications; provide recommendations for security enhancements.
• Utilize working knowledge for setting up CASB, monitoring SaaS applications, SSO integrations, and key management.
• Assist in implementing IAM integrations for user lifecycle management and access governance.
• Develop and maintain IAM policies, roles, and access controls.
• Gain some experience in software development for Identity and Access Management systems.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for security incident response.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for event monitoring and incident response.
• Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, including IT Security team members, IT teams, and business units.
• Maintain extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of Windows, Linux, TCP/IP networking, and databases.
• Keep abreast of the latest threats, vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, and industry best practices.

Required Skills for the Role:

• Hold relevant industry certifications and have an educational background in Information Technology.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
• Proven hands-on experience in conducting cloud security reviews, risk assessments, IAM integrations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Diligent with a detail-oriented approach and follow-through.
• Have working knowledge of Java and JavaScript, with scripting capability.
• Possess solid scripting experience in languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, or PowerShell, which would be advantageous.
