Job Description

The Manager of Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving HKIB institutional proposition and strategy to provide training and consultancy service through training needs identification and solutions offering. He/she will also work closely with programme owners to ensure commercialisation of broad range of HKIB training programme to the industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Define and prepare the business development plan to achieve annual targets
• Manage a portfolio of banking clients to deepen relationships and identify new business opportunities, ultimately leading to closing of deals
• Contribute thought leadership in marketing strategy and activities for brand building of ECF qualification with the Programme Development team
• Conduct training needs analysis to identify suitable training solutions to clients for all Professional Qualification Programmes and Continuing Development Programmes
• Analyse business and financial data for regular report generation
• Make presentations to HKIB Senior Management at bi-weekly BD Meetings, as well as represent BD at quarterly Committee Meetings as required
• Partner with Operations to run the CDP classes smoothly and provide quality assurance over CDP presentation materials, trainer liaison and bank liaison
• Stay up-to-date on current hot banking topics for programme development of CDP
• Supervise a small team to drive and implement the business development plan
• Ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• Degree holder or above
• Experience in Banking & Finance and/or Training & Development industry
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience of which 2 are at Manager level
• Holders of HKIB professional qualifications will be advantageous
• Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Cantonese
• Be a pro-active, innovative, self-motivated, good team player, and result oriented
• Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint) & Chinese word processing
