Responsibilities:

  • Implement customers' shipping instructions and work with their vendors and freight forwarders.
  • Study and thoroughly understand the shipping manuals of customers.
  • Work with the Logistics team to prepare shipping guidelines for vendors based on customers’ shipping manuals or specific shipping and documentation requirements.
  • Provide logistics-related advice at the operational level to in-house and overseas customers on shipping, payment, and trade compliance matters.
  • Manage the Logistics team to offer guidance and support to Connor teams, clients, and vendors globally, ensuring issues are directed toward appropriate resolutions.
  • Efficiently distribute Customs and Logistics updates to Connor teams.
  • Continuously review processes, procedures, and workloads to ensure proper organization and resource allocation.
  • Address and resolve issues related to shipping, documentation, and payments.
  • Ensure the Logistics team posts shipment data in the system promptly and accurately.
  • Manage and monitor the Connor Product Liability Insurance (PLI) policy with the Logistics team, while working to expand PLI income.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and provide support for any additional requirements from clients or internal departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing logistics or shipping departments.
  • Knowledge of merchandising, US/EU customs requirements, trade compliance, and vendor compliance is an advantage.
  • Dynamic and experienced in handling a wide range of freight forwarders.
  • Proven ability to take on a strategic role in managing logistics operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, well-organized, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in PC skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Occasional travel to the Shenzhen office is required.
