Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer with a strong background in licensing application and maintenance. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in securing and maintaining crypto and/or payment licenses across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring full regulatory compliance at every stage. Key Responsibilities:

Licensing Application:

• Manage end-to-end processes for obtaining cryptocurrency and/or payment licenses in 2 to 3 different countries, including but not limited to Europe, Asia, or North America.
• Prepare, review, and submit licensing application documents, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Conduct comprehensive research on regulatory requirements for specific jurisdictions and tailor applications accordingly.
• Act as the main point of contact with regulatory authorities and third-party consultants during the application process.

Compliance and Maintenance:

• Oversee the maintenance and renewal of licenses, ensuring all ongoing compliance requirements are fulfilled.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure adherence to licensing obligations.
• Conduct regular compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor regulatory developments in the cryptocurrency and payment industries across relevant jurisdictions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with legal, operations, and executive teams to align business strategies with regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on licensing compliance standards and updates.
• Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Key Skills and Key Qualifications:

• Experience: 5 to 10 years in licensing applications and compliance, preferably within the cryptocurrency, payment, or FinTech sectors
• Proven track record in managing licensing processes in multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to cryptocurrency and payment systems (e.g., PSD2, AMLD5/6, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with licensing requirements in key markets such as the EU, Singapore, Hong Kong, or other crypto/payment-friendly regions.
